Committed To Confidential, Compassionate Care

Our founder

Emily Bellaby is a counsellor and Psychotherapist committed to providing accessible, inclusive and high-quality mental health support.

Her work is grounded in creating a space where individuals feel able to be themselves without judgement. She understands that seeking support can feel uncertain, and places importance on making that process feel calm, respectful and considered from the outset.

Emily works in a way that is both trauma-informed and LGBTQIA+ inclusive, recognising the importance of identity, lived experience and personal context in shaping how people engage with counselling.

Alongside her clinical work, Emily became increasingly aware of the challenges faced by other practitioners particularly the lack of suitable, affordable spaces to practise from. This often creates barriers not only for therapists, but for the clients who rely on them.

The Nottingham Counselling & Psychotherapy Hub was created in response to this need.

Her approach is thoughtful, grounded and practical, focused on creating environments where both clients and practitioners feel supported, respected and able to do meaningful work.

A space designed with care

The Nottingham Counselling & Psychotherapy Hub has been carefully designed to support both the therapeutic process and the professionals who facilitate it.

The Hub offers 10 dedicated therapy rooms, each providing a calm, private and comfortable setting for counselling sessions. The design is simple and considered creating an environment that feels professional without being clinical.

In addition to the therapy rooms, the Hub includes a shared communal space. This allows practitioners to connect, reflect and build a sense of community, helping to reduce the isolation that can often come with private practice.

The Hub is grounded in values of inclusivity, accessibility and respect. It is a space where diversity is recognised, and where both clients and practitioners can feel confident that their experiences will be met with understanding.
