For Clients

How do I know if counselling is right for me?
You don’t need to have a clear reason or a specific issue to begin counselling. Many people come simply because something doesn’t feel quite right, or because they want space to think and reflect. An initial conversation can help you decide whether it feels like the right step.

What can I expect from my first session?
Your first session is an opportunity to talk through what has brought you to counselling and what you might want from the process. There is no pressure to share everything straight away, the pace is guided by you.

Is everything I share confidential?
Yes. Counselling is a confidential space. There are some rare exceptions relating to safety, which will always be explained clearly, but the intention is to provide a private and trusted environment for you to speak openly.

Do I need a referral to access counselling?
No referral is needed. You can contact us directly to arrange an initial conversation.

Do you offer support for specific issues?
Counselling can support a wide range of experiences, including anxiety, stress, identity, relationships, life transitions and more. If you are unsure, you are welcome to get in touch to discuss your needs.

Is the Hub inclusive of LGBTQIA+ clients?
Yes. The Hub is committed to being an LGBTQIA+ inclusive space, where individuals can feel safe, respected and able to be themselves.
